| HISTORICAL COMMISSION VACANCY - Thursday, July 03, 2008Please be advised that there is one vacancy on the Historical Commission. The committee meets the last Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Terms are for three years. This term will expire 4/13/11. The commission shall be responsible for the general administration of the Township historical site and any and all other historical properties and shall acquire, collect and exhibit in the name of the Township all necessary historical documents, materials, equipment and other things necessary for the effective operation of the Township’s historical sites. Interested individuals should complete an Application for Appointment or obtained from the Trustee’s Offices. The deadline to submit an application for either committee is noon on July 25, 2008.

| Dedication of George George Memorial Park - Tuesday, June 24, 2008A Celebration of Community Recreation, Enbironment and History. George George Memorial Park will be dedicated to the public beginning at 11:00 a.m Tuesday, July 1. The park off Moravian Drive just south of Cass Avenue will be presented to the residents of Clinton Township by the George Family. Long-time residents of the township and one of the community's premier business groups, the George's constructed the park in honor of their grandfather. The 30-acre park was donated to the township by the George family and was built without taxpayer funding. The park features a large children's play area and playscape, a covered public pavillion for picnics and other community gatherings, a fountain plaza area, and more than 5,000 feet of walking and bike paths. A fountain at the front gate welcomes visitors to the park that now represents one of the township's new jewels in its parks and recreation system. read more ... |
| Cultural Diversity Committee Vacancy - Wednesday, June 04, 2008There is one vacancy on the Cultural Diversity Committee. The committee meets the last Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. These terms are for two years. The purpose of the committee is to cause and encourage cultural awareness that fosters open communication and positive interaction among citizens of the Township and to promote cultural diversity projects which may include, but are not limited to, such activities as brochures, pamphlets, festivals and other recommendations and reports that will be an aid to the Township and its citizens. | Economic Development Corporation Vacancy - Wednesday, June 04, 2008Please be advised that there are four vacancies on the Economic Development Corporation. The terms are for six years expiring July 10, 2014. The committee meets the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 a.m. at the Township Civic Center. The purpose of the EDC is to encourage economic growth and development in the community, particularly industrial based. It is also to review tax exemptions for industrial businesses. Interested individuals should complete an Application for Appointment which can be downloaded or obtained from the Trustee’s Offices. The deadline to submit an application is July 22, 2008.
