Traffic Safety Bureau
The Clinton Township Police Department's Traffic Safety Bureau was dedicated in 2001. The foundation of the Bureau is residential traffic safety through education and enforcement. The Bureau is also responsible for abandoned autos, accident investigation and educating our citizens on safety issues i.e. seat belts, drunk driving and the rules of the road. The Bureau has four accident reconstructionists for fatal accident investigations and one child seat technician who is available to the public for child seat inspections. The radar trailer that you may have seen around the Township is maintained through the Traffic Bureau and is deployed throughout the Township.
The Bureau comes under the command of the Operations Captain, B. Wade and consists of one Command Officer and six Police Officers. The current members of the Bureau are Lieutenant A. Greene - Traffic C.O., and Police Officers T. Holloway, M. Allis, A. Maisano, B. Majur, R. Rossbach and G. Adamek. The accident reconstructionists are Police Officers J. Bate, D. Coller and A. Maisano. Officer G. Adamek is the abandoned vehicle Officer. Officer S. Vanslambrouck is the child seat technician. The Bureau operates two shifts, a Day shift with four Police Officers and an Afternoon shift with two Police Officers.
The Clinton Township Police Department has established a 24 hour hotline for traffic complaints and related questions. The Hotline number is (586) 493-7936 residents are encouraged to call and leave a message or a request for traffic enforcement.
