Fire Suppression
The Fire Suppression Division, under the direction of the Deputy Fire Chief of Operations, consists of 69 full-time sworn personnel operating on 24-hour shifts out of the four fire stations. The firefighters are distributed over three platoons, each platoon under the supervision of a Battalion Chief. The firefighters function under a "company " concept, with a minimum of three personnel in each of six Engine or Truck/Rescue companies.

In addition to development and delivery of our department’s prevention programs in all of the Township’s elementary schools and throughout the community, the division conducts plan reviews, building and business inspections, and fire investigations.
Special Operations
The Special Operations Team is a group of firefighters who utilize specialized equipment and have obtained specialized training above and beyond normal fire suppression activities, particularly in the areas of handling emergencies which include hazardous materials and technical rescue operations, such as building collapse, confined space rescue, trench rescue, high-angle rescue, and other specialized technical rescue procedures.
